Communication & Connection = Confidence Programme

Personalised one to one programme for spaniels, cockapoos & other spaniel crossbreeds at any age after adolescence who require an in home assessment and a specific individual training plan for single or multiple issues.  

Programmes are personal to you and your dog are designed to help and support with any important issues. Including: understanding their individual needs, natural instincts & learn how to harness them, by building Communication, confidence & connection and improving recall and  lead walking. Taking into account their needs, personality, natural instincts and your families experience and goals

Communication & connection = confidence programmes are personalised and could include:

  • Learning or improving skills such as recall, retrieve, walking on or off lead, emergency stop and other skills
  • Fun activities that you can do together harnessing their natural hunting and chasing instincts  
  • Use of their natural motivations and appropriate reinforcers to achieve the best results 
  • How to accept your spaniel for who they are
  • Building your confidence, communication & relationship in real life situations

The Programme includes:

  • An initial consultation/assessment (2 hours) at your home for us all to meet and get to know each other and talk through your issues, and to formulate your individual programme
  • 2 x 60 minute sessions (usually fortnightly) held at your home or in an alternative suitable public location
  • Programme plan and handouts where required
  • Email or voice message support

Programmes take place in your home or suitable local locations.

Follow on programme - 2 x 60 minute sessions - £90

2 hour in home behaviour assessment -  £120

Recommended equipment list:

  • Training lead minimum 2m with a clip attachment (not retractable)
  • Harness with a back connection ring (non-tightening)
  • Acme 210.5  or 211.5 gundog whistle and lanyard
  • Waist belt or belt attachment treat bag
  • Tasty soft treats 
  • Treat container (small sealed plastic tub)

I am based in Oswestry and have a private field in Llanymynech. For home visits I cover the towns & villages of north west Shropshire, east Powys  including the SY10, SY11, SY12, SY21, SY22, LL14 & LL20 postcodes. 

We only use gentle, rewarding & pain free methods of training to help you understand your dog's needs, personality & natural instincts while considering the learning styles of you both and listening to your needs and goals.
